What can go in a dumpster? We can haul a variety of materials in our dumpsters but the contents will determine which landfill will accept the load. That’s one reason it is important to discuss up front what you’ll be putting in the dumpster because when it comes to landfills weight does matter.

Franchise Fees

Several of the local municipalities charge a franchise fee in addition to the landfill fees. The difference between a tax and fee is debatable but the primary distinction is that taxes go to a general pool and fees are limited to a specific government function such as maintaining the landfill. For governments the benefit is they can sidestep the legislative process to raise fees while they can’t for taxes. Regardless of the origin – do bear in mind this is a government mandated fee imposed by some NE Florida counties or cities.
